Emerald City Driving School now offer teen classes. Our Teenage Driver Education Program is
5 weeks long, and consist of 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours
Behind-The-Wheel instruction and 1 hour of driver observation.
SimuRide ~ Driving Simulator also available for students.
To enroll in our teen classes, you must be 15 to 18 years old. To qualify for an Intermediate State Driver License, you must be 16 years old, completed the Teenage Driver Education Program
, have learner permit for 6 months and pass the Knowledge Test & Drive Test.
Instruction Permit is required for practice Behind-the-Wheel Driving. First, you need to
Pre-Apply Online or visit local DOL office to obtain the LIC#. Once we have your LIC#
and we will open a waiver from your file. Now you can bring your parent or guardian
and proper ID to any DOL office to obtain your instruction permit. Be sure to have
a permit in hand when you get Behind-the-Wheel.
After Completion of the Teenage Driver Education Program, parent or guardians
should provide a minimum of 50 hours of supervised driving practice with
10 hours night driving and have learner permit for 6 months prior to taking the license exam.
